Friends’ contributions are deeply appreciated. Their donations fund the purchase of supplies, promotional items, construction materials, and other necessities. Without their generosity, the Festival could not remain the celebrated event it has become.
We would like to offer a special Thanks to our many Friends who have generously supported the Festival since 1979.
Please join us again this year to ensure that the College Hill Arts Festival continues to bring quality art to the Cedar Valley for many years to come. And, with your support and patronage, the Festival will continue to be a free and viable event.
A Cedar Valley Event
In 1979 under the visionary leadership of Hugh Pettersen, the College Hill Arts Festival was born on the sidewalks of the College Hill business district. It has continually grown in both quality and scope to become a signature fine-art event in the Cedar Valley, the State of Iowa, and throughout the country. It is an award winning Fine-Arts Fair each year offering original artwork created by selected artists from across the country to the citizens of the Cedar Valley.
In addition, the Festival also offers musical groups performing on stage; hands-on creative activities for the children; the Young Art Collectors Gallery; and a variety of food vendors.
The Festival is run entirely by volunteers whose main goal is to make fine art readily accessible to the public. This all comes together in one package that showcases not only the College Hill Arts Festival, but our community as well. And, it is all FREE to the public.
And, while Festival attendees enjoy the quality and variety of the artwork, the artists enjoy our Festival for its warm Midwest hospitality and for the financial support which is offered through the Friends Program and the Patron Program. Each program serves a very different purpose at the Festival.
